At the heart of Outrigger Canoeing is the spirit of ohana “family.” As a paddling family, we are dedicated to respecting Our Mother Ocean and promoting this ancient and environmentally-friendly sport especially here in our own beautiful Monterey Bay. From the blessing that we share before leaving the shore, to caring for our traditional craft, we seek to foster respect for one another, for the sport, and the natural world around us.

The sport may be ancient, but the moment is fleeting. Nine women have come together, the first-ever Monterey Bay Women’s Crew, to take on the challenge of a lifetime. The Challenge: the two remaining jewels in the Outrigger Paddling Triple Crown (Kona & Molokai).
